thanx jen,its just that a friend of mine owes �800.00 on a car that her ex husband left her with the debt,she has paid a lot of it off but defaulted on her last 2 months payment now this ''collection company'' are threatening her with bankruptcy for the remaining amount.thanx again....

This will almost certainly be a threat. It will cost them over �1000 to make her bankrupt. Nonetheless she should get the debt down below �750 as soon as she can.
