i went to the beach today , havent been there for a while ,due to the weather , but i go there quite a lot when its fine ,today was different , when i got there i could hear disco music and saw lots of charity minibuses ,and coaches ,which is unusual , it turned out that it was for disabled children and underpriverlaged children , we sat and watched them dance and enjoy the day . and get on the coaches home with there carers and they were beaming .

That wouldn't make me cry, that would make me smile! :O)
Only because you think of the life they have outside of those events it could make you cry, but then do they? No! They're enjoying the moments as they come, and so you should be happy with them. :O)

one thing that tears at me is ,seeing the eldely folk out in the morning 'struggling to do their choirs
without helpers
so independant and fragile
When my youngest son was given a part in his first school play. He had to remember half a page of dialogue, and come the day, managed it to perfection.
I was so proud of him, but the tears just wouldn't stop! he's autistic, and has memory lapses, so that was an epic achievement for him at the time.
Aw bless him Ice! You must have been so proud! :O)

yeah , and when you see other people who should be hung from a lampost , makes you wonder , where the priority lies .
i agree with max that would bring a smile to my face to see them enjoying themselves after all they have experienced. Those with disabilities and underpriveleged do not always realise the full extent of their limitations to them thats daily life. in many ways we all have a disability only those with disability or underpriveledged are often not as inhibited as other folk. They have a way of appreciating the simple things of life things we often dont see.
