Two separate offences??

You wouldn't run with a theft and burglary. Theft (or attempted) is part of burglary.

Also dwelling or commercial premises?

Value of the stolen goods.

Any damage?

Aggravating circumstances?

Without these facts, impossible to say

Slapped wrist at the most. Unfortunately theiving scum have to commit several hundred offences these days before any sort of punishment results. Probably get a trip to Kenya out of it.
