i brought a top fromnew look to go on holiday i did wear this top once brought it home washed it and one of the gems has fallen out i cant find the reciept anywhere so i would like another one even though i know they havent got any our new look as i had to travel to another store to get it in the first place am i entitled to a full refund ?? ive only had the top 3 weeks ?

The best thing you could do is call their customer service dept and ask about their refund/exchange policy.

Legally, it is not 'fit for the purpose' according to the Sales of Goods Act, however fashion retailers are notorious for grilling the customer on when and how it was purchased. Did you pay by debit or credit card? if you did you can take in a bank statement to prove purchase date.

Assert yourself and demand the exchange
Shops are normally quite good as these days as they want to keep good customer relations.

If the top is only 3 weeks old then I'm sure they'll still have it in stock so should recognise it.
However as you haven't got a receipt then they normally will give you vouchers or a gift card to use in store.
Or if you want it again then just exchange it.

Also if you want a refund and it is now reduced or on sale, then they will only give you the lowest amount, as you don't have any proof they may think you've just brought it cheap and now trying to get a full refund.

have you checked the washing guidelines? Some with jewels on say handwash only. If not don't worry, if it does just say that it fell off, otherwise they will say it's your own fault for not reading instructions.
