My man is in the smart repair trade - "small to medium area repair techniques" trade - see if anyone local in the smart repair trade and ask them to fix it - not a body shop therefore not as expensive, and quick usually
It is impossible to repair stone chips yourself so the body is perfect whatever anyone says.

Follow the advice above.
those stone chip touch up thingys are rubbish, they make the car look worse than it was when it was just a stone chip, and they are never the right colour. you need to get it done professionally, as mentioned above.

Thanks will look into it ..Twinny
only benefit of touch up is a temp measure to stop rust , never in a million years will you get a match, smart repair is the way to go, although this also depends on where the chip is and the vehicle colour. ie middle of bonnet on a silver car this will test the best..
In fact the colour thru smart repair is as accurate as a body shop although the only way you can get it to blend properly is to get is sprayed thru a gun, therefore get smart repair on that type of job, you get what you pay for in that respect.
And, of course in answer to your original question, sorry but I have a lifetime of this.......can you tell?!!!

Get it flattened down (again smart repair could do this) and resprayed but by someone you can trust.

Hope this helps

Sorry about ranting, and not getting to the point before
