I don't know if I'm posting in the right place but I'm expecting a baby in May and I'm English and the father is French. We would like him/her to have both our nationalities and if possible an English and French passport. I know very little about this and have no idea where to start.

here's a link from Wikipedia:

Seems it's pretty straightforward - your child appears to be entitled to both.
How could you let a Froggy near you, have you no standards? Move to France, you are officially contaminated!
Under French law your child becomes a French national on birth by virtue of having one parent who is a French citizen or of French nationality.Accordingly he or she may have a French passport too. (There are bound to be lots of forms to fill in exactly and lots of paperwork to produce, in several copies, but, hey, that's a good introduction to French ways and bureaucracy for both mother and child !)

Why would you want the poor little thing to be officially half French? Just don't tell anyone and you might get away with it. :)
