Can anyone give me a bit of insight into these? Is there any kind of pecking order? Or is one aimed more at one area of law than the other? If so, which is most orientated towards criminal law?

Many Thanks

No there is no pecking order. It depends you are looking from your inn, Grays is the most humiliating they still make you sing at dinner, Middle Temple is the only one that you actually get to wear your full wig and gown for call and it is the most musical/drama orientated but they serve really nice mini fish and chips and burgers at lecture nights. Lincolns inn is the biggest and you may struggle to get called on the night you want, i think it serves the most free alcohol. Inner temple looks like a car park. Really doesnt matter which area of law you are going into. My Girlfriend is a Criminal Barrister and she is in Middle. Hope this helps!
