As you own the house jointly he has no more right to it than you.

The courts will look favourably on you staying in the house whilst the children are living with you - an order could be made for the house to be sold when the youngest is no longer dependent.

If you do decide to sell, you will be entitled to a half share of the equity in the house, maybe more if the children are dependent and are living with you.
