My husband and I have just separated and are going through the 2 years separation route before being able to divorce. The only asset we need to sort out is the flat.  Is there any point paying for a deed of separation now if it can be modified in 2 years time?

Hi there, i separated in the same circumstances and didnt bother with a deed of separation mind you we sold our house a few months later. i couldnt justify the cost of paying a solicitor and i dont think it was necessary, we then just filled out the forms after the 2 years and it was really quick and easy. I wouldnt bother with a separation agreement unless it is likely to get messy. Good Luck x
