When someone bails someone out of prison do they get the money back if they are innocent and if they dont where does the money go to?

Most bails are a surety - no money is paid unless the bailee absconds or otherwise breaks bail conditions. There just has to be evidence that the funds can be made available.

If a security is paid, it goes to the court and is returned with interest.
