Having just read the watchdog report on cgs, I have just been sent a pre-approved application form, which states that if I were to pay 49.95 i could get a credit card I am tempted as I could do with it, whats your response to it.

I haven't seen or read the report (it's not on Watchdog website) but the following springs to mind:

1) if your credit rating and financial circumstances are such that you can't get a free credit direct from a provider, do you really think it's a good idea to get one at all, never mind pay 50, which presumably you don't really have spare, to get one?

2) if this company has been featured on Watchdog, is that not a clear 'stay well clear' message

3) I would not deal with any company that, on its website, writes "we wouldn't of [sic] got to where we are today if we didn't offer a service that our customers could completely rely on"
The most likely scenario with this type of company is that they will pocket your 49.95 and not be able to get you a card. They will more than likely have a 'no refunds' policy - the fee is for trying, not for getting.
Hi , PINKERBELLE, I am sorry to say NO NO NO !!! Leave well alone. This company trades under more than one name all misleading. They issue false promises of financial security and do not deliver it. I understand how tempted you may be but please try not to use sharks such as these. They take your money quick enough and then use all sorts of different reasons for not being able to deliver the said deal . If you need any more info go to www.blagger.com. and read other people's experiences. Does not make pleasant reading. Sorry to be negative if you though you had solved a money problem.
And no matter how tempted, stay away from credit cards - they can stay with you - and scar you - for life if you are not careful. However if you do eventually get one, keep the limit low and use for emergencies or for convenience of buying if you have the cash anyway.
I'm a bit late getting to this so you've probably moved on in life. However, I personally would advise great caution with this company. On the other hand Capital One do a card for those who may not be eligible for other cards. It has a limited initial limit (say, 300) but if you use it properly this limit can be increased later. The main thing is that you know that Capital One will be trustworthy and honour what they say. I wish you the best. Be careful. PS: I do not work for Capital One. It is just that they helped me and I found them of high integrity.
stay clear its all a big rip off... i have just came off the phone from my bank in which post.net were already trying to take 3 different payments off me.. none of which i okayed! because of them i have had to put a sop on all my direct debits for the fear of incurring bank charges
CGS POST NET LTD is a fraud... i am victim... i was looking for a loan.. and i thought i tried tht.. so i did applied for it... few week later i recieved a forms to sign it.. but when i looked at it, i changed my mind... and the fee is 49.95... i didnt knw they took out my bank... i was fumed...and i phoned my bank and explained wht happened lucky i got refunded....

hiyu
being a victim myself its hard to explain.. i was trying to get a copy of my credit reoprt and was forwarded to loanfinder.co.uk part of the richmond group , also cgs flm loans and many other business's are incorperated into one massive company,
i filled out there forms and went to sleep thinking nothing of it to wake up and see that 49.95 was debited from my account
i resolved the matter as my bank said there was nothing thet can do
i mailed [email protected] and spoke to him he refered me to a cgs executive that kindly refunded the money and canceled any further payments,

there not a fraud in the way they operate as u legel entered into a contract with them but by tradin standards law they have to refund you if your unhappy with the service u have recieved.

the loanfinder website automatically shares your info with cgs and signs you up for a credit card which is guarenteed refusal so stay away fro flm loans , cgs and loanfinder they will take your money and be slow to return it and your bank may not always help as you entered an agreeement with them which doesn state that money will be taken right away but over the period of time stated

very dodgy and scheming just never give out your details and u wont have this problemj
