Blame the "compensation culture". The councils are sh***ing themselves senseless that some oik will sue them if they burn their mouth on a hot mince pie. It's not the jobsworths who have taken over, it's an unholy alliance of the insurance companies and the lawyers.

Don't believe it , wots the world coming to, who comes up with this tripe, i think we should tell the councils/government to stop trying to nanny us, take christmas, they stopped nativities, some companies are not putting up decorations, they are trying call christmas winterval, this is so they don't offend other religious minorities, i'm sorry but councils seem to think that christianity is a dirty word, i read the sun today, that asian lady (sorry forgotten her name) wrote an article saying that muslim have no problem with xmas, in fact they like it when decoration are up, they even take their children to see santa's grotto, so its seem the do gooders & all the politically correct idiots are causing more harm than good.

sorry if it semms i am going on about this, but i feel strongly about this.
