Is there a web site where you can find out some of the ridiculous laws that still stand in the UK - like shooting a welshman (only with an arrow) from the city of Chester walls etc..

I wouldn't bet on these being true though. I think there was house cleaning exercise about 15 years ago and a lot of old laws like mandatory arcery practice on Sundays were scrubbed
Committing suicide hasn't been a capitol crime for years, nothing is! None, we DON'T have the death penalty and any archaic law that says otherwise has been outdated by the Human Rights Act. Plus, I believe suicide was decriminalised many years ago. Trespassing isn't a criminal issue, but it is a civil matter. Longbow practice is obsolete, probably illegal under Offensive Weapons Act[s], and I don't see what's 'unusual' about needing to buy a licence for your TV...that being the TV licence...Plus, note that nowhere does that site mention the statute in which these laws are contained. Of course you can't kill anyone! That's murder...no matter old laws, the courts would strike them down. Also, defacing of money is no longer a crime, as is demonstrated by those penny pressing machines such as the one you'll find in The Sealife Centre, Birmingham.
