My husband has had custody of his son since he was 18 mths old due to his Biological mother leaving him. He is now 11yrs old. He was forced to have fortnightly contact with his B/Mother by the courts despite his own, consistent view that he didnt want anything to do with her.
In may this year, he finally found the courage to tell her that she basically wasnt living up to his expectations of what a mother should do e.g..caring for him, loving him etc and so she told him that she didnt want to see him anymore - which suited him fine.
We have tried so hard to keep an unbiased view of his relationship with her and to keep him sounding positive about seeing her - eventhough she didnt even send him a card for his b-day or even a good luck mesg for his first day at secondary school.
My question is: - is it worth taking this back to court to have the whole contact order revoked and her wrist slapped? My S/son is fuming with her just dropping him - not because he wants to see her, but because she threatened to have ME locked up because i stopped contact for 6 weeks over a difficult period in our life. I did this all through the solicitors and was all legal and above board. Hes angry because she is seemingly getting away with not fullfilling her role as Mother and the court ruling.
Please help as this is distubing us all now.
