is it possible to get a trial transcript online? or if not, where could I get access to one? thanks.

You can't usually get a transcript of the actual trial online, only the judgment. You can get judgments from the High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords from the court service website. Although trials are recorded usually the transcripts are not typed up unless there is an appeal. You could probably get a transcript from a company called Smith Bernal but you would need to pay for it.
I have just had an email from the supreme court in Edinburgh telling me to send �4 for the copy of the trial indidment and miuites of a trail I wanted to know about, is this any help ?

thanks for the replies, very helpful. I wonder if English courts allow this access as they do in Scotland?
would be interesting to see the difference from Scottish Law and English Law. England dont have Procurator Fiscals do they.
