Where can I dowload court transcripts?

I want to have a carreer in law, and so I'd like to get a better view of how court trials opperate. So, does anyone know where I can dowload (free) court tial scripts/transcripts, or similar? (I've tried google, but only got a mock trial of a magistrate trial, which I'm not interested in).

I've got a feeling that they are often not released into the public domain because of some kind of confidentiality laws, even though as it says above you can go into public galleries and watch criminal cases.
