I did my first ever spinning class today, really enjoyed it and felt that my fitness was fine but my legs really let me down. I find that they fatigue stupidly fast and I don't know why. Even when I walk up the stairs I feel it in my legs, I struggle using the bike in the gym as I can't up the level to raise my heart rate as my legs give in.

I am not sure if this is connected but I do feel dizzy every now and then, not only when exercising - sometimes just when sitting in the house.

Anyone got any ideas?

are you hypoglycemic? maybe you have a low blood sugar problem. you should speak to you GP.
I get that..its anaemia, and poss low blood sugar and pressure. U sound like you are lacking in vitamins and energy nad sound anaemic. Ask your doc for a blood test testing for Anaemia (blood count), folate, vitamin B12 , magnesim and others.
Try asking your doc for Forceval prescription vitamin capsules, i take them and they are very good. You can also take Pharmaton vitamin capsules with ginseng available from chemists/boots etc at around 8.99. They are very energising. You can also take just ginseng with your Forecval capsules. Also, drink plenty of water and eat a high carb meal for energy about an hour before your next spinning class or before any aerobic workout and get an early night the night before your class.
I had those symptoms - had to rest after climbing a flight of stairs, 'cuz my legs felt like lead and I felt dizzy andd light-headed. It was anemia (even though my blood pressure was high).

I also suggest getting your blood tested and checking the hemoglobin levels. Mine were so low, the doctor checked me into the hospital that day for blood transfusions. He was amazed I even had the energy to move.

After the hospital I started taken iron supplements. They're a bit rough on the digestive system at first, but I got used to them and now am sympton-free.
