Wolf63, no, unfortunately, it does not always get rid of eejits. Some people crave all the attention that they can obtain, positive or negative. They wallow in it; absorb it; need it; inhale it and constantly cry out "Hey, look at me". I could write paragraphs concerning the syndrome; however, that's not my style, and this thread won't last much longer anyway.
