i am thinking of getting a used land rover freelander has anybody got an opinion on these and are they expensive to run and insure? thanks a-bankers

The first generation were not very good, magpie. Later one are much better though.

Don't know what sort we had but we had a seven seater Land Rover and I hated it - everything seemed to be in the wrong place.

diesels are best, avoid early petrol models with the k-series engine. the td4 uses the bmw diesel engine. good cars generally.
