I have just purchased a ceiling fan which is great, so long as you take the glass light fitting off, then it just looks awful. Can anyone please tell me what I can use to dampen the extremely loud buzzing from the motor when this shade is put back on? It is a single domed light in the centre with a six blade fan. The make is a Napoli 32".

We had one of those fans. We had an electrician look at it . Everything was fine. We kept testing it to see if it was level. Afraid nothing worked. We just had to have it running for a time before we went to bed and then shut it off. We had a fan with three bulbs in the conservatory and although there was a slight wind sound from the blades it was bearable.  You could try making sure it is level (not tilted at all) but I don't think theres much you can do unless anyone has any ideas.
our ceiling fan in the lounge did this at first, we just kept adjusting the position of the moveable ball in the fitting on the ceiling, it finally sorted itself out.Hope this helps
