As part of divorce settlement, ex was order to make monthly payment for a limited period. So far, no payment has been received. Can the money be deducted directly from his wages? I have no solicitor

You will also need to send the relevant fee. Speak to your local court and ask for the forms and guidance notes to be posted to you
You do not say how long ago this order was made and this could be critical, if it is three months or more report it to whoever made the order.

The Order was made a year ago for payments to commence this year after I complete my full time studies
