I think ALL major cities have a competent and well established legal profession.
My experience was with Manchester and Liverpool.

i don't think that was one of the ones. The only name i can remember is iniquitas
Pannone, Sydney Mtchell, Glaisters

Pannone I think has the highest rates up to £400/hr
but also the best reputation. I advised one of my work colleagues to sue through Pannone but you DO need a deep pocket. After a thousand pounds he came back and said to me that I had been right and I replied: 'yes but now you KNOW it is the right answer'

Biggish civil and criminal centre - Mold has two courts but we have many many more. Civil courts rejoice - yes rejoice bednobs - under the name

Civil Justice Centre

no one has pointed out the irony in that one. Seven floors of Joostees, in a crystal pure stream as indeed we expect - or demand

Well I'm here haha :)

So many law firms up here! Personal Injury wise, a lot of the lower value (less technical) work like simple RTAs and slip and trips are round Merseyside but the more specialised work such as clinical negligence is done is more typical law firms (rather than large PI processing firms).

Pannones is a big one here for clinical negligence, JMW, MPH, Hillary Meredith, Roberts Jackson (I think), thee are loads.

I like the Civil Justice Centre (even if it does look like a glass filing cabinet), been in a few times - great view from the top! Nice café too.

I wouldn't say we have more Courts, the main County, Magistrates, Crown etc... Tribunals too. They are larger Courts than many places though with it being such a large city and partly with the increased centralisation of County Court work.
I do not think Manchester has more people in the legal profession than other similar size location; there is no shortage of legal firms in the area from which to select someone with experience in the area of law required.
