If you knew of someone committing benefit fraud, would you report them?

The person involved claims every conceivable benefit (stating needs a carer to leave the house, etc) but has worked full time for over two years and hits the nightclubs at least twice weekly.

I dont want to be a snitch but in my eyes, its just wrong!

Yes absolutely. These people are stealing from you indirectly, and you should absolutely report it. You can do it on-line: http://www.direct.gov...efitfraud/dg_10014876

Do it from an Internet café if you don't want to do it from home...
You say you don't want to be a snitch but its the only option if you feel strongly enough to get something done about it.

What Mark said
I would do it right away no messing, people who fiddle are taking away benefits from those who need them.
If you knew someone had stolen a fair few hundred pound, would you not tell the police?

Would there be absolutely no way of my identity being found out/bought into it?
None whatsoever.
Quote from Mark's link to driect.gov

You can make an anonymous report

Whether you use the online reporting form, call the hotline, or write a letter, you can choose not to give your contact details if you prefer.
Your name will not be revealed and you'll not get to hear about any investigations or the outcome.
You may however get to see the fiddler go away in hand cuffs. Just stand back from the net curtains.
Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it

You can be totally anonymous to all - but don't forget because of that you will not be informed of what they discover or any action they may take
How do you know so much about them?
If you are certain, do it.
ditto mark, and remember in principle it's no different to mugging little old ladies!

the nightclubbing is particularly galling, and probably where there will come unstuck ...
It is very different to mugging little old ladies.
It's a crime, and we are paying for his excesses. Do it for us, if not for yourself.
"I would do it right away no messing, people who fiddle are taking away benefits from those who need them."

True, but more importantly, as far as I'm concerned, they are stealing from every taxpayer in the UK.
Denouncing someone has always seemed to me to be an action that happens in a totalitarian state. Children reported their parents in Nazi Germany and later the Stazi had a spy in every street.
It's not the British way. You should mind your own business.
well in my book it is exactly the same as witnessing a mugging and saying nothing!

we are all being stolen from by these people ...
I'm always surprised how many benefit cheats disclose what benefits they are falsely claiming.
