My wife has just been suspended from work and because of the nature of the job it needs to be investigated . Now as nothing like this has happened to us before we are finding the whole thing very stressful.
Now she been told that the meeting to discuss her suspension could be up to two weeks . She has also been told not to speak to anyone from work which makes it an even more lonely experience.
Anyone out there know how we are feeling.

I've been involved with internal investigations at work, indirectly. is she in a union?
Has she been informed of what the accusation is....... We don't know you here so feel free to be open with us as that may help us advise......

I too have been on both sides of such inquiries.

yes I just noticed this was in law, many apologies BR, I hope this situation is sorted out in the near future x
As long as you don't "stain" (or is that "stan") your underwear or carpet, cazz
At least they should get a laugh from this, and some humour at this time should be welcome, mark my words.....
Horrid time for you both Bigrooster, especially so close to Christmas. But if she's done nothing wrong she's nothing to worry about, just suspended to protect her from further accusations.

If she has done wrong then she should use the time to prepare her case and her apologies. Best to contact ACAS as Sara3 suggested and get some advice. There's still time to do that before Christmas and it'll put her mind at rest. Good luck with it all.
