I was born in 1955, making me 56 now - at what age can I retire I know it used to me 65 but some changes have been made to retirement age and I am somehwat confused by all the different things i hear. Someone must know out there.

Oh, now I'm really fed up - 66 and I'd only just got used to the idea of bloomin' 65. I'm just never gonna get there....

Just be pleased your not female, they've been moving the goal post for us at an alarming rate. I was born the same year as you, and just when you come to terms with 65 instead of 60, they move retirement to 66. At this rate I'll be 70 before I get a pension. :0)
Yes, sallybb, although I never understood why the retirement age was ever set at 60 for women. particularly when you bear in mind they generally live longer than men anyway.
