I'm in my early sixties and had a very active sex life from 17 until my hubby died. Am I being totally unrealistic in wanting another partner? Can't believe I will never have sex again cause I really miss it.

Nothing wrong with Sex at any age maggiebee, no matter how old you are there should be no barrier. I you have your health carry on Bonking ! :-))
Trouble is, at 60, health can be an issue for some.

Health not a problem for me - work full time, in to hillwalking, gardening and swimming and doing a university part-time course to keep the brain active.
No i dont think so (and i am 24) and i really really hope you meet someone to share time with -60 isnt old x
Do you mean I should have stopped by now?
No you're not being unrealistic !! Early sixties is definitely not old !! Go for it if you find someone you want to be with thats excellent...... maybe a toy boy?!
craft is older than you maggie, I think she will be 89 next Monday and still at it -)) lol
Redman....hide!!!!!!
there's a few toyboys around here who like the older woman.....
60's, 70's and eighties.......I don't understand the question........why not?
What's spookier is that Redman remembers my birthday :-(
no you are not being unrealistic in wanting a partner. its normal.
Happy birthday craftie.....
not at all...go for it...youre as young as you feel...
You and your husband clearly had a great relationship. A lot of people have lost interest by your age because they never really worked how to get the most out physical intimacy.

There are certainly men out there who are still interested but do be careful. Having been in a great relationship you may not recognise whan a guy is really just using you physically, emotionally and financially.

My advice would be to look to widowers rather than divorcees. These are men whose wives kept them to the end so they were probably doing something right.

Good luck.
maggiebee, you are not being unrealistic in wanting another partner. I lost my wife some months ago now and, being slightly younger than you at 55, I am hopeful that I will find another 'life partner' - i don't go in for casual one nighters (even though I am a bloke!!)

Thanks for all your responses - just need to get out there and have a look around for someone special. Any guys in the 64 - 70 age bracket just keep me in mind lol
