You would try to sue the company that manage the massage parlour.

Compensation would depend on many factors - how long it took to heal, how much you lost in wages, how much you had to pay out on medical fees, taxis, and other out of pocket expenses.

The amount would be reduced or nothing if the parlour could show they took every reasonable precaution to make the shower area safe; or you contributed to the accident because you were drunk or hadn't taken reasonable care in an area you should know will be wet and soapy and may be slippery.

Contributory negligence isn't just about drinking, it's about not taking care - did you undertake a risk assessment before you submitted to said oiling?

If you actually want a (vaguely) legal answer, you'd have to prove 'negligence' on the part of the operators of the massage parlour, while showing that you exercised 'due diligence'.

'Compensation' often mainly takes into account loss of income. If you were an internationally famous artist, who lost millions of pounds through being unable to work, you might get that sort of money in compensation. If you're reliant on your state pension, you might get relatively little.
