Can you leave the country for work if you are serving a suspended sentence?

Sorry , last question of the day. If I end up serving a suspended sentence will I be able to leave the country for work? I understand it is probably not possible for the US but does that apply to all countries? I am looking at a possible ABH suspended sentence and my job requires a lot of installation work overseas?

At what point do you have to notify your employer of your ABH conviction?

Unfortunately it is a pretty cut and dry case as it was on cctv, and to be fair I was a drunken idiot and overreacted. I am likely to be pleading guilty and hoping that as it is unlike me and is my first then I will hopefully work it back for the community with comm service. Yet along the way, if my work do decide to keep me on ( I pray) then I may have to go overseas.

pleading "not guilty as charged" means you get to say that you were drunk and it was out of character though! and bring in your need to work! although violence is never acceptible ...

If you committed the offence whilst drunk and your behaviour was “out of character” you are still guilty and should plead accordingly. The drunkenness and acting out of character is mitigation.

Incidentally, in most circumstances far from being mitigation, a court will consider being drunk as an aggravating feature, especially when violence is involved.

Whenever a suspended sentence is imposed it is accompanied by “requirements”. These can include unpaid work, supervision by the probation service and a curfew order (among others). You will not be able to travel until these are completed.

does this apply to all travel as i am at the minute currently on a suspended sentence and i have travelled to mexico so i think this is wrong unless there are conditions stating I cannot travel please clarify new judge?!
