I was banned last October for drink driving. I'd been banned a few years before so got 3 year ban for second offence. I was pulled over yesterday for speeding and was nicked for disqualified driving. Any idea if I'll get a longer ban or just a fine?

I agree - apart from the last bit. These idiots wreck peoples' lives - and then go and do it AGAIN!!! What brain cells allowed them to pass their tests in the first place? Oh silly me...what's a test?
Never mind the rights or (more properly) wrongs of what you have done. You are likely - if you plead guilty at the earliest opportunity and have some good personal mitigation to a get community sentence. It is possible that it could attract a jail sentence, but the likelihood is with a good solicitor you can argue for a bender (suspended sentence) possibly with supervision or unpaid work added on.

You need to seek legal advice asap, but extremely unlikely you will be so lucky so as to get a fine.

No, its first time I've been caught for this
I would've thought he'd have been briefed on the likely outcome by his solicitor. Of course, if Andrew hasn't got one yet, then he needs to move swiftly, but why hope to be spared a custodial sentence? He's done wrong - more than once - so should accept his punishment, and learn the hard way. Sorry.

I only saw duty solicitor when charged. He didn't say much about outcomes. I'm bailed till court on Friday. I'll be speaking to solicitor again tomorrow. Just wondered if anybody else had idea of what to expect
Unlikely he'll go to chokey Ice, apart from anything else, the prisons are all full. Max sentence is 6 months - so even if he got max (unlikely if he pleads guilty at first opportunity) he will serve 3 (if he got max after early guilty plea he will serve 2 months) and then be out to do as he wishes. Frankly 2 months in prison is neither here nor there wheras a 6 month sentence suspended for 18 months has the effect (if Andrew is a bit of smart cookie) of keeping him on the straight and narrow for at least 18 months. at least that is the theory.
Aww, come on guys.

Stop beating up on Andrew.

He's gonna get enough of that ...

... when he's in prison.
JJ - I have no idea how you think that beating up is a regular occurence in our prisons.

Taking it up the jacksy on the other hand.................
lol
Please, Andrew - whatever happens in the future, just stop drinking and driving, and stepping on the gas. I don't know how old you are, but look where all this's got you. How would you've felt if you'd lost control of the car and ploughed into some innocent people? I DO hope this's taught you something, because it's neither clever nor big to be so reckless.

This offence can be dealt with only by the Magistrates Court. The maximum penalty is a fine of up to 5000 and up to six months imprisonment. This is an offence which the Courts take seriously because it involves the deliberate flouting of previous court orders. As such, a prison sentence is often appropriate. The Court may disqualify from driving for any period and/or order a driving re-test.

You were also driving without insurance. You are totally irresponsible and arrogant in the extreme.
go and buy your soap on a rope mate youll need it in prison

this offence could end up with a custodial sentence or comunity service along with a fine
and as for the drink driveing i have had 2 friends killed because of ppl like you and its has wrecked there familys life one was only 13 at the time. i hope you get sent down as its bang out of order and i am sorry but the others have said it quiet well your are a t**t and the only ppl you will hurt are inocent ppl not yourself when you got behind that wheel you was only thinking of yourself
