A new YouGove poll reveals that the Cons are trailing well behind Labour  .And the reform party is just seven points behind the Cons , after overtaking the Lib Dems and the Green Party. Could the reform party push the Cons into  third place.????🤣.

No - because such a poll doesn't reflect what will happen in the individual constituences. (oh, why do I bother?)

One can hope. Maybe after a term of Reform governing there could be party mergers. The long existing name would likely be adopted then.

Yes but don't forget gully the cons could scrap a few more points from the bottom of the barrel. From today some could have a massive windfall in their pay packets, on average it could  be £450 a year. The reduction in NI will give you £37.50 a month to pass on to your energy company. WOW :0)

Due to the Conservatives Abysmal poll rating ,it looks like they are heading for a "shattering defeat " which now seems even more certain to happen after this latest poll.

Mr NiceBloke @ 10.14 ...Typical Tory ..Smoke  and mirrors job, give with one hand ..take back with the other. And some people actually fall for it.

Question Author

Wonder who the cons will blame when they are stamped into the ground.  Will it be Boris,Truss or Sunak ?...It really doesn't matter a lot, because they will have at least ten years to lick their wounds and try to regroup after the ..Great Defeat..

No

The Reform party might poll reasonably  well but they won't win any seats: their vote will be spread. As I keep saying they'd do better concentrating on a few seats but their current strategy appears to be to try to scare the government into more right wing policies between now and the election

I am preparing for a Labour Government by practising taking the knee, a bit difficult with my arthritis, but I don't want to be breaking the law that they will introduce to make it compulsory. I am also examining my wife to see if she has a penis, because the Labour Party say that some women do have one. I will be asking my grandchildren and great grandchildren what pronoun they would like to be known as. Will ask the dog and cat as well.

I am trying to make sure that I do cover all of the beliefs that Starmer and Rayner have been spouting for the last couple of years.

11.41 Sounds like your in for a right old knees up Gramps. Bring it on .But don't make a cock up of it. And look after those pronouns

Question Author

There is speculation that Nigel Farage could take over as leader of The Reform Party......If he does...that could mean the end of the Cons for a very long time..🤣.

11.41 Only spouting for the last couple of years, the cons have been spouting for 13 now, mainly between themselves thats why we are in such a mess, not to mention no end of changes within number 10, and now theres talk of yet another clown to be selected in place of Sunak.

Some top political analysis here 🙄

And no suggestions of how Labour will put things "right". Assuming they get the chance.

Question Author

Simon Clark forecasts that Sunak is leading his party into a massacre.....at the GE...Hope he is right.

And even Clark's friends and political allies say he is wrong. On bloke's opinion.

You're celebrating rather early gulliver. It's going to be an anticlimax when Labour do take over.

Question Author

Sunak is trying to buy the election with tax cuts.Just another attempt to pull the wool over voters eyes.In fact since 2019 this parliament has seen overall taxation  rise the fastest since records began. If British economy was growing he might be able to make tax cuts but it Ain't..Poor productivity. an ageing population  increased demand on public services etc ,etc.

What if Reform push Labour into third place, Gulliver.  Now there's a thought.  Oo-er!

I'll say this for Richard Tice: he's been in Ukraine delivering aid: fair play to him for that.
