Good afternoon all.

Would it be classed as acceptable evidence if a CSI officer took a photograph of a small bruise on the victim in the victims home two days after an incident?

I was led to believe that all photographic evidence taken by CSI had to be taken in a studio.

Thank you!

What does the 'S' in CSI stand for? I think you may find the answer therein.
There is no requirement for them to be taken anywhere in particular. Very often they are taken in the victim's home.

One thing to bear in mind with photographs of injuries is that they only prove the extent of the damage. They do not prove how the injuries were sustained or, more importantly, who inflicted them.
No. The photo can be taken anywhere. It is for the photographer to decide whether the light is adequate.

More interesting is the weight to be attached to the evidence. The condition of the bruise might be such as to be inconsistent with the supposed time of its being caused, for example.
and remember bruises age...
two days should be OK
