I was under the impression if I lost a criminal case then I pay the fees and if I won the case then the CPS paid the fees including my solicitor fees! Then why did I just get a call from my solicitors looking to arrange a date to pay their fees before the trial?
If I win the case can I claim the fees back from the court?

No, not usually. Your solicitor should have explained all this to you if you don't qualify for legal aid.

Well they never, this has been the biggest waste of money and time!

Spoke to my solictor, I can't claim the money back from the CPS. 2500 quid down the ***.....
biggest waste of money? surely it isnt if they get you off a criminal charge?
Question Author
I should even be on a criminal charge. The cps are idiots! No evidence apart from one guy claiming to know me and saying it was me. Even my solicitor says the charges are a joke. An expensive joke!
