My neighbours of 2 years are a retired couple and are making my life unbearable.I have lived in my house for 16 years with excellent neighbours before them and with no issues or concerns.
As we share a drive our cars are parked next to each other and the other day I opened the rear door of the car to let my one of my sons out and accidently hit the rear light on her car, I checked and there was no damage, she opened her window and screemed like a banshe that I done it on purpose and she will call the police, I told her it was accidental but she came out with her husband (puppet) and they both had a go in front of my son who was upset.
She has threatened us on a few occasions and my children are scared of her.
I will not react and have to calm my wife down as she wants to 'have it out' but I think my neigbour wants a reaction so she can call the police and I will not rise to it but I am slowly running out of paitence.
She constantly looks at us out of her conservetory, I hate it when I have to drive my car in and I have stopped walking our dog.
My question is, is there someone I can discuss this with other than the police as I do not want to waste their time.
I am really fustrated with this it is ruining my life.

Put a Home painted HOUSE FOR SALE sign up in your garden and nail a small sign to it on the post with tiny writing on it that someone would have to really get close to read that says 'NOSY NEIGHBOURS DOING OUR HEADS IN SO WE'RE OFF' lol

Hi All,
Police came last night and although very sympathetic not much they can do but advise which is what i expected.
Young police women who listened and agreed that her behavior is not acceptable and advised me to talk to a solicitor.
I know she seen the police arrive which in it's self would have some reaction and when the police left she turned her head towards her, again she would have been watching so thank you PC Carly.
This is logged now with the police authority and she has advised me to log every thing and record onto a website she gave me with my log number.
I have also been given the name and number of the 'beat manager' for our area and he can see any updates I record on line.
Overall the police did as much as they could but because no criminal activity was evident they could not 'beat her with a stick'.
I left for work this morning as normal, and guess what? her conservatory blinds were fully closed! but I won't relax just yet.
Thank you all for your advice and input, I thought I was the only one with neigbour troubles.
Hello Iwishman. I hope your neighbour problems may now be coming to an end. I really feel for you. It's no fun having awful neighbours. Keep us all informed of any developments.
iwishman, Know exactly what you are going through and what you must feel.

Had a neighbour like that once, she used to spend her time,on her knees behind the front door peering through her letter box at my house and family.
It was a bit unnerving just to see 2 eyes watching every thing you did , or who came and went.

But for me the only thing was to ignore it , which was very hard and eventually it all stopped.
I think I made the decision that a barmy women next door wasn't going to ruin my life, and if she wanted to waste her life like that ,then that was her choice.

So be as strong as you can, you have done all possible and good luck.
The evil witch. Have you tried throwing water over her? She will probably melt!

On a serious note I wish you the very best of luck, my sister endured neighbour issues for years so I understand how deeply unhappy it can make you. All the best.
could you erect a fence between your properties?
Hi iwishman

Karl,
Things seem ok at the moment, the police visit looks like it has 'stemed' the intimidation, she is no longer watching us as previously mentioned.
I will not relax though, she is the type of women who will need to 'strike' another point to 'even' things up...pretty sad I have wrote this but she is like that.
For now all is well, I will keep you informed.
hi ,i can very well identify with your story. i live beside a very evil ,begrudging man. who calls the police if you just look at him crooked if or my children enter his garden maybe after a ball.
recently i got planning permission for an extention to my house . since then he has gone mad entirely.as he has never had a job .let alone purchase his house and further improve it..
i was a hairdresser but still do family and friends to oblige them. he has made complaints to the council saying i run a full time business. i have five children. does he think i m super woman or something.
i also suffer anxiety and panic attacks. so this is having a severe effect on me.
because we ignore him totally. he makes up lies to get at us. we have lovely neighbours too who are always in my home . and we all help each other. so i cant be that bad.
