Sharing a quotation

If I have seen a quotation I would like to share with friends on AB, is it legal to do so, if I include the source.
Thanks for any advice.

Or, to put it another way:
It's perfectly legal to use brief quotations from most source material. To be legally pedantic, the use of the quotation ought to fall within one of the categories listed here

but nobody is going to sue you anyway.
