~X~CONGRATULATIONS~X~

Many congrats Boob!!
Gotta say it yet again ............................................... WOO BLINKIN HOO! I've got the hugest grin in the wholest widest worldest. You have no idea how excited we all are for you!

Ahem, back to the original question.. how about letting your gorgeous boy choose a scrapbook (even if it is Batman) then sticking in bits and pieces together. You could start with baby pics of him (if you have any of you pregnant with him even better cos he'll see him inside of you), then each week add something of a relevant size as your baby grows. As time goes by scan pictures and his idea of how the baby's room should be decorated would be nice. When I was pregnant I had an 'Emma's Diary' given to me by my midwife, I expect they're still around and it was great. Maybe the hints on explaining a new baby will help. Any way, Boob you and your fabulously gorgeous men are so lucky and I'm so very very happy for you. I'll tell HLL the news in the morning and he'll just want a baby brother or sister immediately!

thanks guys, i am still in shock, but we are rally happy now, dying to find out when its due!

nfn, that is a good idea, i may do that, got no pregnant pics cos i didnt get a bump with him as he was so early, but the baby pics are a good idea, my mum is on the hunt too so no doubt he will end up with loads of books for his birthday lol

ooh i think they still do emmas diary, i had one with spud, i like all the bounty boxes lol

congratulations!!!!!!

There is a really lovely book that is a photo story of a family preparing for a new baby. It is called "our new Baby". It does have a theist bent to it, but you don't have to read that part. The photos are really lovely, the family is very scandinavian looking, and the book is quite old. I had to get it second hand from Amazon. It is written by a couple, and I forget there names, but Amazon did find it on title alone.

I used it with my kids the last time and they still like reading it now. The theistic bent is rather benign, it just reads psalm something at the end which talks about babies being "knit together in their mother's womb" and that all babies are "fearfully and wonderfully made." It's nothing heavy, and like I say, for the sake of the pictures worth just ignoring that part, it if it's not your cup of tea.

COngratulations also, on your news. I wish you all very well indeed.
