Nephew is getting married.
1800 kms away.
Quite looking forward to it even though I hate weddings.
I've promised family and friends I'll behave while I'm there ;-/

They are getting married on a headland instead of in a church.
Would it be crass of me to take my collections of fishing rods?

I could get bored during the service and lets face it, who has a nice big fish landed during their wedding ceremony?

If I need a new pair of socks or undies I have a 200km round trip to the nearest clothing store.

Hence I try to make my underwear both last and fall apart at the same time.

I could do but, freight costs to the middle of nowhere are both expensive and sporadic.

Plus one needs to touch and feel something that is worn close to ones body ;-/

The upside to this is *** all traffic, no traffic lights, roundabouts, stop signs, etc, etc.

Engage cruise control, dodge kangaroos and steer the car for an hour to the shops.

Then do battle with traffic and all of the above.
