how can you find a job in australia and go and live there permanently? a simple question but im thinking it may not be that easy!

i think that you need to have a skill that they require. Usually medical or engineering or emergency services are the basic ones.

how can you tell what skills they need? so you cant just apply for a job then and have good qualifications, track record etc?

from what I have heard-they are very strict about who they welcome. If you look on their government website,you may find a list of those jobs and skills which are desirable. I believe you can visit and work-but any job you take will have a maximum contract of 6 months.
