I have a few 3rd level college books which i purchased new. what percentage of the price should i expect to receive for these books in a second hand book store. The books are in excellent condition. Thanks.

I'd guess that a book shop wouldn't give you much for them. How about offering them for sale on the net?

Make yourself a seller account on amazon - you might get something back on them that way.
