If i am applying for a job in a bank do i need to tell them that i had a conditional discharge nearly 2 yrs ago,it was for 12 months for public discorder.so many people tell me i dont need to tell them about it,but if they do a crb chk it will come up.so do i tell them or wait ? thanks.

Tell them. They'll find out as soon as the do the check anyway. If you don't tell them you'll look like you're being deceptive which is not a quality favoured by banks.

If they'll find out anyway, then telling them will be more in your favour I would have thought.

ok thanks its so dammed awkward,it was for public disorder (racial words) how would i explain this ? !, its never happend again was just a stupid moment.
Explain what happened. I presume you'll be interviewed by a human being. Many of them have had various issues over the years.
