am currently studying the CACHE DCE Level 3 in childcare and education and college and am in the second year. but i realllly dont like it! i am 17, and have always been interested in media/films and i want to study a journalism degree at university.

the course i am doing now is equivalent to 360 ucas points so will this be enough to get me into uni even though it dosent relate to media?
or will i need to take a levels or a media related course?

any other information about which universities in the uk just require ucas points would be muchly appreciated :)

Your best bet would be to look at the requirements from individual universities, some ask for a certain amount of UCAS points whereas others are more specific, the UCAS website will probably be most useful. One thing I would warn you about is that I did the same course as you are doing now and am now at uni, the workload in uni (at least for my course) is so much more than for the DCE and much more based around extensive reading of a wide range of texts so you must be prepared for that, I did Alevels before the DCE course and even compared to those the workload at uni is HUGE! Not trying to put you off by the way, just telling you something noone ever told me!
