Handed my notice in 2 weeks ago. Applied for about ten jobs just waiting for the closing dates to come around.

Don't really want to end up with no money - do you think I could and should ask for my job back?

vibra doesn't do sarcasm... filth and innuendo, yes... but not sarcasm :-)

Why go back.....I know it's a job but you absolutely hated the place so you're not going to be happy there.
BTW -this is an ongoing theme with karma22 -she said she was leaving as one of the reasons was she didnt get a social life with the people she worked with WTF ??
True Karma?

I wont say the other reason as that was personal although she posted it.

You should have waited -its easier to get another job when youre in one.
Dris you're showing your age......that's far too sensible a suggestion....
Best thing karma could do is switch off

for good
I wouldnt take you back karma -sorry for being blunt but my daughter is one of millions who would give their right arm for a decent job -with a social life or without.SDhe has to make do with sometimes 9hrs a week at Weatherspoons plus she has a mortgage which I in turn have to work cleaning to help her with.

You dont deserve a job -see how you manage scraping by and then you wont be so hasty again.

ignore the negative comments, focus on what you have to do, you need to do it quickly thou.

Nice story dris, very necessary and relevant to her question, kudos

vibra -can you explain your comments to me in a direct fashion please -I detect an underlying attempt at sarcasm but i'm not sure as my post did not warrant that.I do apologise if you were being as sincere as I was.

Is this drisgirl seriously that thick, stupid and blind? HE WAS TAKING THE FVCKING PI$$ OUT OF YOU! LOL!
I dont know Vibra so I did take it as I was being seen as being a martyr which i'm not.

I apologise vibra and thank you for the compliment -i'm sure you would do the same for your own children if you have any and if it was necessary xx

tamborine -I am the first to admit I was wrong but given the comment it was ambiguous -no need for your bleeding sarcasm lol
dris....my comment was for karma - its her thread.

karma - did you post the vacancy on j&e?
oops sorry tambo -it was caught in the others -think a chill pill is in order -sorry xx

Well after a breakup, no social life, no one to talk to about how I was feeling, I had all these feelings building up in me and I just wanted to say 'up yours to everyone haven't got a child so I am a free spirit and I will do exactly as I please, fresh start, new beginnings, bit of an adventure' sort of thing but now I am starting to see that this is going to make things a lot more stressful as if I wasn't stressed enough with my life already!

I know it wasn't the best idea but I've been hanging on to that job by the skin of my teeth for a while now. Surely its not that difficult to see how under the circumstances I cracked under the pressure!!?

I will eat a bit of humble pie now and see where that gets me.
Jesus is this freakin dead horse still being flogged?

You post this bull-sh1t whilst you're supposed to be working and now at night too.

wt get a job in an Amish village away from technology you re a nut job and wasting folks time reading your nonsense.
If you've been hanging on by the skin of your teeth maybe they won't give it back to you.

What reason did you tell them you were leaving?

What is stopping you doing exactly the same thing in a month or 2 ? With all the school leavers looking for jobs they may well consider taking on someone who they can train?(and probably pay less money)

I've been hanging on by a thread that isn't to do with my ability to do the job. Boss said she will be very sad to lose me.

They might well decide not to take me back now as it might be quite convenient for them in a way as money is tight they said they would try to manage without me rather than take someone else on just yet.

Just have to hope for the best won't I!

I have this habit of making my life as complicated as possible it seems!

yeah thanks xx
karma -yoiu are darned lucky to have a job.If you feel a little bit down just think of my 20yr old daughter who is ill with worry and if it wasnt for me she would be on the streets and lost the flat she put a deposit down on with the money her dad left her when he was killed. when she was just 18.She works her cotton socks of and so do I as that is all she has left of her dad and she so wants to keep her flat but the mortgage is crippling her.

Please take on board what i have said -and no sarcy commment from Klown please. You are lucky to have a job -full stop -make your social life else where and move on from the other thing -we all have to move on -my daughter is trying to move on without her dad -its a challenge but hang on in until you have another job.
ok sorry dris well leave it there
i never knew
You never knew but you said all those terrible things regarding my daughter and wished my family dead -one in a car crash - well close he was killed in a motorbike accident -no fault of his.

See we are all human behind the names and i cant forgive you for what you have said to me Pasta and everyone else tonight -you will face charges and I will make sure you do.

Mark my words.
Bloody ell, it's getting a bit heavy in here isn't it?

Karma, I've no idea what your circumstances are - it may be that you don't need the money all that badly as you may live with parents, etc, etc.

Whatever happens, it's not the end of the world and you'll find a way through it. It seems rather unfair that some people are lecturing you in such a heavy-handed way though - sometimes we do daft things on a whim and regret them later. That's life, and we've all done it.

So can some of the people replying please remember when they last made an error in judgement, and get off their high horses?!
