Can anyone recommend a good Lean Six Sigma reference book (for yellow/green belt level)? There's so many out there so any recommendations would be appreciated.

WTF is six sigma? Some sort of martial art?
No, its an approach to business process management started by Motorola as an andedote to the so-called Japanese management approaches with funny names that everyone raved about in the 70s.
Its principles lie in eliminating defects and a statistical deviation of 6 Sigmas from the median is regarded as so little that it is effectively zero.
Unfortunately then everyone leaps on the bandwagon and wants a slice of the consultancy action or training.
I don't know the best book - I'd just go to Foyle's bookstore in London and search through a few. The core methodology is pretty much standard.
This could be a decent start point.

Right so you can get a black belt in management Bullsh1t!

Well I must take the low hanging fruit on that one!
You need a paradigm shift in your thinking R1.
'Low hanging fruit' in management bull***t means taking the easy opportunities and their benefits. Not sure how that ties back to your observation.
ok I'm just off to synergise with the elephant in the room.
