Any body got any advice on how to get started on the oil rigs I have slinger signaller qualifications and have 10 years drilling and piling experence.

You wouold need to have your full offshore survival (BOSIET) which is about �600, as I don't think there are many companies who would be willing to pay for it now. Also due to the current economic climate a lot of the oil companies are postponing their drilling schedules. You could try phoning one of the drilling companies, which you will find on the internet to ask advice from their HR department.
