Intersting question........do you have to be over 18 to be a support worker in support living accomodation. And what about Residential accomodation??

Here is a very strange thing.

If a support worker is under 18, the person(s) he or she is caring for may have to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau Check (crb check) to satisfy the Protection of Children Act if he is she is over 18.

Of course the support worker must undergo the extended CRB check.

As support workers may have to carry out very personal and intimate procedures it is highly doubtful an under 18 could or would be employed in such a role
