I was just wondering if term time supply teachers that are not permanently employed by schools entitled to maternity pay when they leave to have a baby? If not is there anything they are entitled to? supply teaching is usually paid on the days worked rather than the weeks.

If you can't claim maternity pay from your employers, but have been working regularly and paying National Insurance you will probably be entitled to Matenity Allowance which is about 113 per week for 39 weeks. Check the Direct.Gov website and look at Maternity Allowance for eligibility. You can download the application form. You will have to send payslips, form from your doctor as proof of pregnancy etc
if you are with an agency then ask them as you may be able to claim through them.
