Hi,

When you go into a permanent job do you need to sign a contract before you start? or is a letter from the employer confirming your position acceptable where you do not sign anything.

actually you do not have to have a paper contract, the implication is enough,

my employer is not inclined to issue a contract and is within the law,

if there is a falling out you are just paid off generously and everyone is happy,

as employees we are still protected by the important legislation regarding sex, race, religion etc,

as a consequence our company is staffed by people who want to work and get on and who dont spend a great proportion of their time trying to get something for nothing,
