I'm applying for a job that requests 'handwritten applications and CV' My CV I think is okay to be typed but the letter will need to be handwritten. Luckily I have extremely neat handwriting (not that I often use it nowadays!). My problem is - what paper do I write it on?
Plain white A4 isn't right I think so I need to go and buy some. I also need lined or it will be written at a slope!
Its also says to send the letter to 'The Chairman of .....' - do I write Dear Sirs?

Thanks ever so much in advance!

You can buy plain writing pads which have a sheet with lines on that you out under the page you are writing on. The lines show through the page and you use them as a guide so you write straight.

I would address the letter Dear Sir (no plural as it does say Chairman and not Chairmen..)
If you're addressing the letter to "Dear Sir" then make sure you end it with "Yours Faithfully". You only put "Yours Sincerely" if you're writing to a person you know
