My daughter would like to become a childrens doctor.Does anyone know what qualifications are needed? I am assuming she will have to specialise in childhood diseases.
How long would she be training for?
Thank You

Thank you that is exactly what we were looking for.
Hi,

Rough estimate:
5 years medical degree
1 year house officer
at least 2 years senior house officer
these are roughly what we'd call junior doctors so approx 8 years training.

More info can be found at www.nhscareers.nhs.uk

Good luck!
