I own a house which i am going to rent out, can i have the income paid to my wife as she is a low earner.

I was refering to income tax . As unearned income if declared . does it matter who owns a property?
yes - the income is all yours for income tax purposes. As dzug has said, the only way for your wife to have the income assesed on her is by owning the house herself. You might want to consider the future capital gains consequences of this before you make a decision.
