When did A levels start?
Were they valid in 1975?
I have tried to google but no joy.

I did my A levels in 1973 and can remember one of my sisters taking them in the mid 1960's. I'm not sure when they started though.

I took mine in 1972 and they had been around for a long time before that so 1951 sounds about right
